This study, in which the embedded design mixed method qualitative and quantitative data are applied together, aims to determine effectiveness of gamification applications LMS use online English lessons. The study was implemented a secondary school Istanbul. purposeful sampling method, non-random performed. students were divided into control experiment groups randomly. group consists 44 students, is 47. A pre-test via testing tool adapted from norm-referenced/academic achievement test designed by Turkish Ministry Education examine students' background knowledge level related topic chosen. In this while traditional education methods throughout 15 hours lessons enriched with experimental on distance education. taught 7th unit 5th grade book 'Party time presentation methods. contrast, same subject versatile apps such as Kahoot, Classdojo, Quizziz, web-based games.
